Our history:

1967

The foundation of a family business

The brothers Luigi and Alberto Salvadè, following in the footsteps of their father Giuseppe - a technician specialized in assembling industrial machinery for a paper mill, who is often forced to travel all over the world due to his work commitments - attend a professional school: Luigi in the mechanical sector and Alberto in the electrical engineering one.

Luigi, working in the mechanical sector in the company his father collaborates with and in textile companies in the area, soon gained considerable experience. Thus, in 1967, Luigi and Alberto set up their own business and founded Salvadè S.r.l., a company initially specialized in the maintenance of textile plants of all types and brands. Two of them work, in a garage/workshop, without means and with the strength of commitment and passion, setting themselves objectives, they slowly move on to designing and creating textile machines.

1970-80

Growth

Salvadè's fame grows and the company is moved to a larger structure in Cernobio. The first employees are hired: Salvadé also begins to operate abroad, in the United Kingdom, in Russia. Luigi and Alberto personally take care of foreign orders and assemble the machinery in various countries around the world.

Luigi is the President: he leads the company with humanity without ever doing without the full collaboration, support and advice of his right-hand man, brother Alberto. There is full trust and shared intent between the two brothers. The location was changed again, and the brothers established their homes in the same building where the factory is located, in Mandrate.

1990

The first great crisis

The first major textile crisis, in 1991, hit the business, causing it to falter. Less quality fabrics were produced at negligible costs in other places in the world. But the company, although forced to resort to redundancy payments, managed to get back on its feet thanks to an ancillary activity relating to the construction and sale of buildings. Thanks to the sale of a warehouse, the company managed to overcome the bad moment.

But what happened imposes new logic: the watchword is to innovate. Only by treating the crisis as an opportunity, is it possible to start again with an edge.

Salvadè is constantly looking for new technologies and applications for the updating, development and innovation of machinery capable of satisfying the needs of increasingly demanding customers.

2000

The second great crisis and internationalisation

The great crisis of the 2000s affects all sectors without distinction. The Italian market is suffering and blocked. The solution is to find new outlets abroad. The second generation – Luigi and Alberto's children – is already at work. Marco, in particular, picks up his suitcase and begins a slow process of internationalization.

At first many closed doors, finally, with a lot of commitment and perseverance, ever greater spaces open up. Investment in research & development is becoming increasingly important.

Salvadè equips itself for foreign trade. It also guarantees an efficient after-sales service, having vehicles for the delivery of the machinery and for emergency assistance at the customer's premises. The new solutions present themselves, in fact, as means for improving the customer's work cycles, in terms of space and time.

2017

The first 50 years

The Salvadè company turns 50 years old. For the occasion, the new website and a professional video which tells the story of the company, created by storyteller Piero Muscari, were created.

In the video we rewind the tape to discover the origins of the success of Salvadè: from the farmer grandparents to the father, a qualified mechanic, up to the direction of Luigi, supported by his brother Alberto, to create and consolidate a reality that has become a leader in Italy in the sector of construction of textile machinery, with 80% of the turnover achieved in the international market. Exceptional speaker Emanuela Rossi, great protagonist of Italian dubbing.
